Kenya 2017 Elections

On August 8th, 2017, Kenya votes in its most expensive, tense and closely-contested neck to neck general and presidential elections between rivals Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, sons of Kenya’s first president and prime minister respectively. Three of the previous four elections were marred by violence, including the 2007-2008 election when 1,100 people were killed and over 500,000 internally displaced.
